Job Vacancy at Toys R Us: Shop Assistant 2023
Toys R Us is inviting eligible candidates to apply for the position of Shop Assistant Candidate. Whoever bags this role will work primarily in the Retail department. As a Shop Assistant, successful candidates will be tasked with several responsibilities essential for ensuring the smooth running of operations.
These responsibilities include operating cash registers efficiently, processing diverse payment methods accurately, addressing customer inquiries effectively, and providing excellent customer service. In this role, candidates are required to uphold the company’s customer service standards, placing the customer first by attentively catering to their unique shopping needs.
The role also demands a keen focus on sales. As such, candidates will need to promote products, maximize sales and service the point of sale (POS). Candidates will also need to participate actively in stock counts and take steps to minimize stock loss in their respective areas.
Other aspects of the job include scrutinizing returned goods and reporting any issues to Managers in a timely fashion. The successful candidate will be placed either in Sandton (Gauteng) or Johannesburg (Gauteng).
