The Universal Service and Access Agency of South Africa (USAASA) is a statutory body established under the Electronic Communications Act. With a focus on promoting universal access and service to electronic communications and broadcasting services, USAASA operates as the administrative arm of the Universal Service and Access Fund (USAF). The USAF provides grants for ICT infrastructure development in underserviced areas and subsidies to individuals in need of ICT support.
