The City of Tshwane is currently seeking qualified applicants for X13 General Worker vacancies at their municipality. With an estimated annual remuneration package of between R242 830,23 – R273 667,23, this is a fantastic opportunity for those ready to take on a new challenge. Job Purpose
The new hires will work closely with the team leader to facilitate the maintenance of waste water collection systems, which includes tasks such as operating pump stations, clearing both private and municipal sewer blockages and repairing broken sewer pipes.

Competencies
The ideal candidate should be physically capable of doing manual labour tasks such as fixing potholes and storm water structures; should have a team-oriented mindset; and possess good communication skills.
| Primary Functions |

| Excavating and backfilling trenches with the necessary tools for the repair of burst or leaking sewerage pipelines |
| Assisting the supervisor with the fitting of sewer pipe sections during repair operations |
| Working in a team to operate the manual rodding system to clear sewer blockages in municipal and private pipelines |
| Handling tools and equipment, cleaning the workplace after a job is completed, and adhering to the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act. |
| Taking responsibility for housekeeping at the depot. |
