General Worker: Roads & Stormwater X12
With designated code MN3595/23, these positions offer a remuneration package of R 142 608.00 to R 156 228,00 per annum. The position’s total annual package, including all benefits, amounts to R 265 897,52.
Requirements
- Basic Literacy & completed Grade 10.
- A suitable candidate possesses a Grade 12 certificate (however, it is an added advantage but not mandatory).
- Having a Valid Driver’s License is preferred, but it’s not a requirement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (Bilingual).
- Ability to follow and execute the given instructions.
- Must be physically fit and possess basic physical work skills.
- A hard-working, self-disciplined individual.
- At least 01-year relevant experience in roads and stormwater construction, maintenance, or rehabilitation.
- Past experience in Local Government authority work will be an advantage.
Duties
- Responsible for loading and off-loading materials and equipment.
- Ensuring traffic safety by placing traffic signs during road works.
- Keeping the working environment clean.
- Maintenance of tarred, gravel roads, and stormwater services.
- Taking up labour-related tasks as requested by supervisors.
- Responsible for the efficient running of the section.
- Performing Ad Hoc tasks as required by management from time to time.
