Qualification & Experience:

  • A tertiary qualification in a social work field (e.g., Bachelor of Social Work) that allows professional registration with the SACSSP.
  • Registered as Social Worker with SACSSP.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Delivering health social work services for the care, support, treatment, protection, rehabilitation, and reintegration of vulnerable individuals, families, and communities.
  • Implementing primary and secondary social work procedures.
  • Providing specialized social work services as part of a multidisciplinary team of health and therapeutic professionals.
  • Engaging with external stakeholders such as other government departments, NGOs, and advocating for vulnerable groups.
  • Producing written reports, capturing monthly reports and statistics.
