Life Healthcare Pharmacist Assistant Learnership 2021-2022
In a collaborative effort with HWSETA, Life Healthcare invites South African unemployed individuals looking to establish a solid career foundation to apply to their Pharmacist Assistant Learnership program. This remarkable opportunity provides an in-depth understanding of the intricate workings of the pharmaceutical career. During the course of the learnership, you will contribute to the functionality of the pharmacy department under the guidance of the Senior Pharmacists and the Tutor.
As a Pharmacy Assistant Learner, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Handling medication supplies required in hospital wards
- Overseeing hospital pharmaceuticals
- Managing the ethical and surgical inventory
- Control of hospital dead stock
- Investigating stock-takes and variances
- Tending to patient credits
- Restocking emergency cupboards
- Unpacking received stocks
- Ensuring fresh stocks by checking expiration dates and invoices
- Strict adherence to security protocols
- Upholding ethical and professional qualities
Starting from July 1, 2021, until June 30, 2022, the program will last for a total of one year, and learners are expected to fully commit to the entire duration of the program.
