The DWS is keen to offer financial support to university students in South Africa studying in fields related to the department. The DWS Bursaries are a welcome opportunity for students, providing them with financial aid that motivates them to excel academically.

University of Venda | BSc in Environmental Sciences, Geohydrology, Environmental and Water Sciences |
Bursary recipients will have their registration fees, tuition, and prescribed study materials fully covered. Additionally, a yearly personal allowance is provided. Successful applicants will be required to participate in the Water Learning Academy for up to three years based on a fixed-term contract.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants need to satisfy several criteria to qualify for the DWS Bursaries:
- Exhibit exceptional academic ability as a student
- Demonstrate a need for immediate financial assistance
- DWS should identify a need based on qualifications
- Consideration will be afforded based on race and gender
