Eligibility Criteria
The minimum requirement to apply for these positions is a Grade 8 certificate, ABET level 4 certificate, or equivalent. Potential candidates should possess basic communication, literacy, and interpersonal skills. They should be capable of carrying out routine tasks, and knowledge of cleaning materials and equipment will be deemed an added advantage. Candidates must be prepared to work physically for long hours and under exposure to chemicals and hazardous working conditions.
Job Description
- Cleaning of buildings- Offices, court rooms, open spaces etc.
- Emptying dustbins and refilling water bottles with fresh water.
- Dusting and polishing of wood tables and other furniture.
- Cleaning of windows, doors and walls and mopping, sweeping and vacuum of floors.
- Deep cleaning of toilets and refill of toilet dispensers with toilet papers and handwashing soaps.
- Washing dishes and cleaning kitchens during forums and meetings.
- Reporting of any building defects encountered while cleaning and alerting staff and supervisors of any potential hazards.
