Cleaner Position Details

  
The University seeks proactive individuals for the role of cleaner, who are responsible for maintaining hygiene and cleanliness. The cleaner will report to the Head of Department (HOD): Campus Cleaning, and is responsible for the duties listed below.


  
Requirements

  
    
    
  • Grade 10/ Standard 8 with Grade 12 qualifications will be preferred
    • 
    
  • Minimum two (2) years’ cleaning experience in a similar environment
    • 
    
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and health and safety regulations
    •

  • Reliable and trustworthy with good communication and interpersonal skills
    • 
    
  • Team player with ability to work alone and manage time effectively
    • 
    
  • Computer literacy with attention to detail and good personal hygiene

  • Clean University premises according to schedule and standards
    • 
    
  • Empty and clean bins regularly
    • 
    
  • Clean and disinfect kitchen, toilet and bathroom fixtures and replenishing consumables
    • 
    
  • Stock control and monitoring for all chemicals and materials used
