Requirements
Applicants should have a minimum of Grade10 or/Abet level 04 and above, or equivalent qualification. It would be advantageous to have knowledge of portering services, more so if you’ve worked in a mortuary. Additional qualifications include the ability to communicate in more than one official language and having a passion for work. We also look for individuals who have knowledge of customer service, are self-driven, motivated, and willing to work in a team and on shifts.
Duties
The porter’s role includes escorting/accompanying patients from reception to various sections, wards, and vehicles, and vice versa. They also assist with transferring patients to beds/trolleys and back, delivering a courteous and respectful attitude, and transporting corpses to the mortuary. Dispatch other duties as instructed by the supervisor.
