Number of Positions: 2
Annual Salary: R125,373
Job Location: Groote Schuur Hospital, Observatory

Job Requirements

• Minimum requirement: Basic numeracy and literacy
• Experience: Relevant experience in the messenger service
• Inherent requirements: Physical fitness and the ability to stay on your feet for extended periods
• Competencies: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and basic computer literacy

Job Duties

• Collection and delivery of post, folders, documents, etc.
• Assisting Ward Clerks in locating patient folders throughout the hospital
• Delivery and collection of blood samples and related items
• Collection of medication at the pharmacy
• Assisting in the collection of folders from the Medical Records department
• Performing relief duties and basic record-keeping
