Requirements
Candidates should have a minimum qualification of a Senior Certificate (or equivalent); Mathematics and/or Accounting as passed subjects are favourable. They should have relevant experience in Supply Chain Management, with a focus on the Procurement Process. Skills in Supply Chain Management systems such as LOGIS and the Electronic Procurement System (Eps) are also required.
Competencies
- Ability to communicate effectively in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
- Physical ability to handle goods in the Transit Area/Stores.
- Computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office Package.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMS), Regulations and Financial Instructions.
- Familiarity with SCM Systems such as the Central Supplier Database (CSD), and the Western Cape Supplier Evidence Bank (WCSEB).
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
Responsibilities include all functions related to the demand and acquisition of goods and services, processing requests via the Institutional Quotation Committee, placing orders with service providers and suppliers, and much more. You will also provide administrative support to various stakeholders within the New Somerset Hospital.
