What are the requirements?
To be considered for these opportunities, you must possess the necessary qualifications for registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse. You should also be currently registered with the SANC as an Enrolled Nurse.
The experience required depends on the grade you’re applying for:
- Grade 1: None
- Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years’ appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as Staff Nurse
- Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years’ appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as Staff Nurse
Your responsibilities
As a staff nurse, you will be tasked with the development and implementation of basic patient care plans. This involves providing basic clinical nursing care and effectively utilising resources. Besides maintaining professional growth and ethical standards, you are expected to implement standards, practices, and criteria for quality nursing.
Your duties also involve practising nursing and healthcare as per relevant laws and regulations, and ensuring efficient and effective utilization of human, material, and physical resources.
