Seriti, a South African mining firm, is collaboratively owned by four black shareholders: Masimong Group, Thebe Investments, Community Investment Holdings and Zungu Investments (Zico), each owing a significant stake. It is a fully-fledged and predominantly (91%) black-owned and managed South African mining company. The firm is principally engaged in supplying Eskom, South Africa’s primary electricity generation firm, with long-term coal supply options to power its plants. Currently, Seriti happens to be the largest black-controlled coal supplier, standing second in ranks only to Coal Africa.
