We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Store Assistant Manager to join our team and support our Store Manager in upholding company standards across various operational aspects.Job Summary:As a Store Assistant Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our store. You will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in maintaining high standards in housekeeping, merchandising, and security, as well as assisting with staff management, banking procedures, and sales initiatives. If you have previous experience in people management, departmental management, and clothing retail, and you’re looking for a challenging and rewarding role, we encourage you to apply.Key Responsibilities:Banking Procedures: Ensure efficient and accurate handling of banking procedures, including cash management, reconciliations, and deposits.
Store Management: Assume responsibility in the absence of the Store Manager, ensuring the store operates smoothly and in accordance with company standards.
Housekeeping: Maintain high standards of housekeeping, ensuring the store is clean, tidy, and well-maintained.
Merchandising: Assist with merchandising, including visual displays, stock management, and inventory control.
Security: Ensure the security of the store, including the prevention of stock loss and shrinkage.
Staff Management: Assist the Store Manager with staff management, including training, development, and performance management.
Sales Initiatives: Implement sales initiatives to achieve store targets, including promotions, displays, and customer engagement.
Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with all company procedures, policies, and regulations.Requirements:Qualifications: Matric/Grade 12 (Mathematics an advantage) or NQF Level 4.
Experience: Previous experience in people management, departmental management, and clothing retail.
Skills: Strong communication and administrative skills, ability to make informed decisions, strong organizational and planning abilities, commitment to maintaining productivity, demonstrated leadership skills, enthusiastic and motivated individual, possess ethical integrity and honesty, proactive and self-motivated mindset.
