Program Details
The Mechanical Engineering Learnership Program is a three-year artisan initative, presenting a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in the following trades:
- Fitter (1 position)
- Boilermaker Plater (1 position)
- Rigger (1 position)
- Earthmoving Mechanic (2 positions)
- Diesel Mechanic (2 positions)
The program intertwines classroom instruction and on-site praxis at Mogalakwena Mine, aiming to enhance skills and career advancement.

Eligibility and Application Requirements
The learner should possess:
- A Matric certificate with Mathematics, Physical Science, and English (minimum 40% pass)
- N2 or higher qualification with relevant subjects
- NCV Level-4 in a relevant trade with a minimum 40% pass
- Capacity for work in surface/open pit dusty areas and possibly in shifts
- Competence in English communication
- South African citizenship
- Medical fitness certificate. A South African Driver’s license would be advantageous
