Eligibility Criteria for the bursaries

Confirm your fittingness by comparing your own credentials to the eligibility rules set by the selection panel:

  • Citizenship: Only South African citizens can apply for this bursary.
  • Age limit: Applicants must be aged between 18 to 35 years.
  • Educational prerequisites: Candidates should either be in the process of accomplishing their Matric qualification or must already have completed it. They must currently be studying or preparing to undertake studies at a recognized South African tertiary institution in one of the above-mentioned fields in 2024.
  • Preference is given to female applicants, previously underprivileged students, and people with disabilities.

  • Completed and signed bursary application form which can be obtained here
  • Certified copy of Senior certificate or equivalent for those who have finished Grade 12
  • Latest academic transcript printed on letterhead/logo of your institution, if already at university or university of technology
  • Certified copy of current South African identity document
