About The Role

We have an opening in our branch located in Green Point, Western Cape, where we are looking for a dedicated Kitchen Hand on a full-time, permanent basis. The selected candidate will be required to work 6 sets of 12-hour shifts every week. The salary for this post is approximately R5,500.00 per month. The job will be starting ASAP.

Job Description

Working under the umbrella of Roman’s Pizza, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the store and assisting in various kitchen duties, ensuring our back-of-house operations run smoothly. The incumbent must be prepared to work flexibly, including weekends, within our business hours of 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing food according to specific recipes and the appropriate use of equipment
  • Timely completion of all cleaning duties during each shift, to maintain a clean working area
  • Adherence to high sanitation standards, particularly in terms of Covid requirements
  • Managing equipment setup for all sections, in a manner that ensures safety and efficiency
  • Supervision over stock levels and cleanliness, with any issues being promptly reported to supervisors

Requirements & Preferences

The prospective employee should possess a Matric qualification and proficiency in English with no criminal record.

In terms of preferences, living close to the workplace (within 15km radius) is advantageous. Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand or background in Fast food or restaurant industry is preferred.
