Minimum requirementsBTech degree (or equivalent) in electrical power engineering or closely related.At least 3 years technical experience/professional/industrialAdditional RecommendationsGood communication and lecturingA strong passion for technology, teaching, andSummary of DutiesReports to the Head of Department provides oversight of the assigned laboratory facilities in theEnsures laboratories under management control, are maintained in full functional state and safe working condition to facilitate a disciplined and efficient execution of students practical’s and projects.Assists academic staff in regularly assessing student’s performance through practical.Provide resources and technical support to students for their practical’s andServe as Invigilator for examinations and Tests under the ChiefCarry our maintenance of laboratory equipment, including repair and changing of components, g. fuses.Provide assistance and coordination of Open lab.Maintain an Inventory of all laboratory equipment and liaising with University Asset ManagementControl the issuing of equipment and consumable stock usage, while updating stock registry of consumables andUndertake fault finding and troubleshooting tasks on Departmental hardware facilities and software.Monitor consumable and equipment stock and coordinate the purchase of consumable and capital, and other such duties as may be assigned by the Senior Technician.
