Job Description
KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Superintendent II, Mine PlannerThe Kamoa Copper Mine, is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It’s a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.Play your part in our team succeeding…To execute Kamoa Copper SA [KCSA] medium to long term planning requirements to ensure extraction of ore in the most effective and efficient manner to achieve the Mining strategic objectives in a safe wayYou will have the following: Relevant MTS or Mining qualifications (Mine Overseer certificate)±2 Years underground operational experience with ±5 years mine scheduling experience using relevant softwareMining Engineering background highly advantageous but not essentialYou will have advanced skills and knowledge in:MTS background or MiningBasic understanding of Survey, Rock Engineering and VentilationBasic technical knowledge of mining operationsTechnical design and analysisProficient in MS Office SoftwareMine planning softwareKey Responsibilities:Implement effective and efficient Mine Planning processes and proceduresDo monthly reporting, updating of production plans and update system with new month’s plansProvide input into the annual production plan based on production requirements and cost estimatesDrive effective problem solving and continuous improvementThe finer details:When applying, please submit a PDF version of your CV together with certified copies (certification within a 3-month period) of your ID/passport, drivers licence and qualifications.
