Job Description
Our client, a leading engineering consulting company is currently looking for a Structural Draughtsman/BIM Modeller to join their team in Cape Town. Responsibilities:Develop detailed structural drawings using REVIT software in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.Generate accurate BIM models to facilitate project coordination and collaboration among various stakeholders.Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure alignment with design intent and project requirements.Participate in design reviews and coordination meetings to identify and resolve conflicts and discrepancies.Provide support and guidance to junior drafters and modelers as needed.Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of experience working with REVIT software in a structural drafting or BIM modeling capacity.Proficiency in producing detailed drawings and models for structural components.Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and construction practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within project deadlines.Additional Skills (Preferred):Knowledge of other CAD software (AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, etc.).Familiarity with relevant industry software and tools for structural analysis and design.Experience working on large-scale commercial or institutional projects.If you meet the above requirements and want to make a career-changing move, apply today by emailing your CV to [email protected] You can also connect with Henker Harmse, Elma Pelser, Alyssa Marson, Chandre Cordier and Tameaka Futcher on LinkedIn
