Job Description
KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for Specialised Officer, Safety The Kamoa Copper Mine, is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It’s a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometers west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometers west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.Play your part in our team succeeding…The safety Officer is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the Safety managements system in the acid plant. The incumbent will also be required to effectively complete Inspections and Audits in Area of responsibility and report Findings to the Safety Superintendent I, ProductionYou will have the following:National Diploma in any of the SHE disciplines or equivalent (SHEQ/ Risk Management) or Engineering or Mining Fluency in French, Swahili and English (or at least two of the three) is highly advantageous 10 years relevant experience within a smelter production/engineering safety environment and minimum of 5 years in a managerial/supervisory position level.
