Key Job Purpose:

To lead, manage, plan and execute Forensic Audit’s and to ensure that the quality of investigations is effectively and efficiently managed within the allocated resources in accordance with the Treasury Regulations and Procedures.

Key Outcomes: (what deliverables are required to achieve job purpose)

Prepare reports for investigations conducted
Prepare summary reports for audit committee on progress of investigations

Key Roles: (what role does one should play to deliver the outcomes)

Provide advice on how to proceed with a forensic investigation
Conduct investigations
Prepare detailed report on findings of investigations
Compile a report for the investigation authorities
Recommend enhancement to processes
Liaise with investigating authorities
Assist with preparation affidavits
Lodge criminal cases with the investigating authorities
Prepare for staff disciplinary hearings
Testify at disciplinary hearings
Enhance polices on Fraud prevention
Develop policies for Protected Disclosure Act (PDA)
Develop guidelines for conflict of interest
Evaluate staff “Declaration of Interest”
Conduct fraud risk assessments
Perform operational duties within the unit
Perform Ad-Hoc reviews as requested by Management

Risk and Compliance Coordinator
Development
Implementation
Reporting

Qualification:

NQF level 7 – Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accounting, Auditing, Internal Auditing, Forensic Investigation, Law
Professional certification of Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Professional Internal Auditor (PIA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) will be an added advantage

Experience:

Minimum of 3 Years’ experience in conducting Forensic Investigations and/or Auditing
