Job Description
KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Specialised Artisan, Mechanical & Fitting The Kamoa Copper Mine, is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It’s a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.Play your part in our team succeeding…To maintain, service and repair mechanical components on machinery (with OEM specialisation) to ensure their availability for mining operations. The incumbent tasks a small group of technicians and the scope / portfolio of this role includes performing planned and preventative maintenance, and attending to breakdowns.You will have the following:Qualified Artisan, Mechanical or ElectricalCourses in Safety, Risk Assessment Preferably you will have: Underground experienceUnderstanding of mining methodologiesUnderstanding of different roles (fitter, rigger, boilermaker) and how they work togetherYou will have advanced skills and knowledge in:Mechanical knowledgeHydraulic skillsAuto-electrical skillsBrand-specific (i.e. OEM) skillsSafety and security knowledgeTechnical Skills should include:Hydraulic skills Auto-electrical skills Brand-specific (i.ec.
