Job Description
Minimum requirements:• D-Eng. / D-Tech / PhD qualification in mechanical engineering, with an undergraduate qualification in mechanical engineering or equivalent.• At least 5 years teaching/professional experience.• Evidence of research and completed post graduate supervision Additional Recommendations:• Strong in the Fluid Mechanics and/or Thermodynamics knowledge area(s)• Good Publications Record• Good communication and lecturing skills• A strong passion for teaching and research• Professional registration with councilSummary of Duties:• Teaching, assessing and supervision at all levels.• Development of learning materials.• The successful candidate is expected to supervise and/or be actively involved in research in the department.• Assist with administrative and other duties as prescribed by the Head of Department or Representative as delegated.• Assess experiential training requirements of students.
