Job Description

Our client in the finance industry is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join their Actuarial Modernization team on a 12-month contract basis.Role and Responsibilities:Identify, refine, clarify, and define business needs related to the actuarial systems modernization project.Assist with project requirements planning and documentation.Conduct business, process, data, and requirements analysis to understand the current state and identify opportunities for improvement.Apply and anticipate technical expertise to ensure the proposed solutions align with industry best practices and standards.Develop and maintain comprehensive business requirements specifications, process documentation, and impact assessments.Facilitate stakeholder management and communication, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment across teams.Assist in the RFP/RFQ process for the selection of new actuarial tools and systems.Support the execution and implementation of identified solutions and processes.Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required.Skills and Qualifications:Proven experience in business analysis, particularly in the finance domain, with relevant qualifications.Strong background in finance, business, process, and data analysis.Proficient in requirements documentation and executing business analysis methodologies.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Knowledge of the insurance industry and products.Experience in mapping out complex business processes.Exposure to complex organizational structures at the group level.Data analysis and system implementation experience.Understanding of project management methodologies and practices.Solid comprehension of finance business processes.Competencies:Self-starter with the ability to work independently.Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and finding smarter solutions.High cognitive ability to quickly grasp complex processes, rules, and organizational products.Adaptability and flexibility to work in a dynamic project environment.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Education and Certifications:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.Business Analysis Diploma or equivalent certification (preferred).
