Sales Specialist An exciting position is available at this leading South African book publisher and distributor. The successful candidate would work closely with the Sales, Marketing & Publicity Divisions. Role title : Sales SpecialistJob family : Sales and Marketing (Book Publishing) Location : JohannesburgJob grade : 4Reports to : Sales Manager Key responsibilities(The primary tasks, functions and deliverables of the role) Assisting with regular updates across relevant departments.Assisting with the preparation of sales reports and presentations.Subscribing and presenting books to customers when necessary.Helping to coordinate sales operations with other business units and partners.Managing customer relationships and queries.Monitoring and analysing sales performance.Keeping ahead of trends and product knowledge.Working closely with publicity & marketing teams. Skills, competencies, qualifications, and experience(The abilities that the individual needs to perform this role effectively) Relevant tertiary qualification.Prior experience in Sales, and Customer services.A strong interest and love for books and reading in general.Fluent in English with excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.Strong knowledge of Advanced Excel skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.Proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications.Excellent planning and organising skills.Good general knowledge.Proficient in some Design software.Strong interpersonal skills.Continual building of specific product knowledge.Valid driver’s licence.
