Job Description
The Rigger is responsible for maintenance of all rigging and lifting facilities and equipment, and optimization of process reliability to ensure maximum availability of the plant equipment and optimal unit cost of production. Key responsibilities will include:Inspection of plant equipment.Maintenance and inspection of all rigging and lifting and equipment of the plant.Maintenance and repairs on conveying systems, structures, chutes 7 bins and pipes.Ensuring spares availability.Overseeing, assisting, and supporting maintenance jobs of all subordinate maintainers.Planning, reviewing, and executing task as per planned and breakdown maintenance tasks.Liaising with operational staff to plan and execute planned and breakdown maintenance tasks.Conducting root cause analysis on equipment.Assisting in the training and development of Apprentices.Seeking and identifying business improvement initiatives.Performing ad hoc duties as required.Performing overtime and standby duties when required. Intrinsic Qualities: Good verbal communication skills.Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.Ability to work in a team environment and independently.Ability to work under pressure.Ability to read and interpret drawings.Good analytical and problem-solving skills.Must have strong operational support. Qualifications & Experience:Qualified Rigger.Valid First Aid certificateMinimum of three years’ rigging as a qualified experience.Exposure in mining maintenance environment.Crushing and conveying experience.
