Warehouse ManagerReporting: Warehouse & Logistics ManagerLocation: Maitland Cape Herb and Spice has grown from entrepreneurial roots into a global player, supplying top retailers across the world.We are recruiting a Warehouse Manager for our raw material warehouse. This position gives focus to the warehouse operations to ensure efficient and reliable service to the various internal production departments.Objectives of this role:Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals.Develop and implement warehouse operations systems to improve product handling and storage standards, equipment utilization, inventory accuracy, and gate processes.Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach performance goals.Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory integrity.Review and prepare work schedules, staffing requirements, space allocations, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, safety, quality, and customer service.Maintain HSE and Food Safety in the work environment by establishing and enforcing procedures and standards and complying with legal regulations. Responsibilities:Supervise daily warehouse activities, including food safety and quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, and customer service.Manage the warehouse team and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.Meet regularly with warehouse planner to analyse productivity and update picking plans.Oversee and manage logistics for transporting materials to company production facilities.Required skills and qualifications:Relevant tertiary qualification.Minimum 3 years’ experience in a warehouse management role managing hourly employees.Experience working in a food manufacturing environment.Experience in implementing and using warehouse management / ERP systems.Proficiency with warehouse procedures and policies.Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities.Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff.Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal.Key personal characteristics, knowledge, and skills: Sense of urgency.Deadline driven & goal orientated.Good communication skillsAbility to drive teams in a positive way to achieve goals.Strong interpersonal skillsHigh attention to detailPractical thinkerSelf-StarterTeam playerOptimistic solution creator For more information on this role including Key Functional areas and additional necessary skills and characteristics please visit https://www.capeherb.co.za/careers If you have not received a response within two weeks of application submission, kindly consider your application unsuccessful.
