Hire Resolve, a leading recruitment agency, is currently seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor / Cost Estimator to join a reputable company in Cape Town in the built environment industry.In this role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of construction projects, managing costs throughout the project lifecycle, and providing cost advice and analysis to stakeholders.Key responsibilities include:Analysing project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop accurate cost estimatesPreparing and presenting detailed cost estimates, including labour, materials, and equipmentConducting site visits to gather necessary information for cost estimationMonitoring project costs and implementing cost control measuresProviding cost advice and analysis to project stakeholdersPreparing and reviewing project budgetsCollaborating with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project cost objectives are metKeeping up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in cost estimation and managementRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, or a related fieldProfessional registration and Facilities Management experience is preferableMinimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying and cost estimation, preferably in the built environment industryEstimation from first principals and good Excel proficiency is requiredStrong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and technologiesProficiency in cost estimation software and toolsExcellent analytical and mathematical skillsAbility to read and interpret construction plans and specificationsGood communication and presentation skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team Contact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing moveOur client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.Apply for this role today, contact Tameaka Futcher, Elma Pelser, Alyssa Marson or Henker Harmse at Hire Resolve or on LinkedInYou can also visit the Hire Resolve website: hireresolve.us or email us your CV: [email protected] We will contact you telephonically in 3 days should you be suitable for this vacancy.
