Process Control Engineer/APC Engineer IntroductionA dynamic company in Monument Park is seeking a dynamic and innovative Engineering Consultant to join their team. Our team comprises talented individuals who are passionate about tackling complex challenges and driving impactful change.Jop PurposeThe Control Engineer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of process control systems. These systems automate various processes within a facility or equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation. REQUIREMENTS Minimum education (essential):· Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline Minimum applicable experience (years):· Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in control systems engineering including APC, ARC, PID and alarm management. Skills and Knowledge (essential):· Experience in specific industries (e.g., Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Water Treatment, Mining and Minerals)· Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations· Proficiency in PLC and DCS hardware and software· Experience with control system design and implementation tools· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills· Ability to work independently and as part of a team Other:· Proficient in Afrikaans and English· Own transport and license Responsibilities:· Design and develop control systems, including control panels, DCS, PLC and HMI· Implementation and tuning of control systems· Design communication networks for control systems· Create control system documentation· Perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) with clients to ensure systems meet specifications· Oversee or participate in control system installation and commissioning· Provide technical support and training to clients on control systems· Troubleshoot and diagnose control system problems· Perform preventive maintenance on control systems· Stay up-to-date on the latest control system technologies and trends Remuneration OfferedMarket-related
