Job Description

A vacancy has become available in Johannesburg for an experienced Market Research Analyst.To collect and evaluate consumer and competitor data and investigate market circumstances to assess future sales of the products and services. To assist BCE in determining what items customers desire, who will buy them, and at what price.Key duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:Provide competitive analysis on BCE’s market offerings, identify market trends, pricing/business models, sales, and methods of operation.Provide strong and timely financial and business analytic decision support to business partners and various organisational stakeholders.Participate in regular meetings with management, assessing and addressing issues to identify and implement improvements toward efficient operations.Evaluate key performance indicators, provide ongoing reports, and recommend business plan updates.Collect data on Dealers, End-users, competitors, and the marketplace and consolidate this information into actionable items, reports, and presentations.Understand business objectives and design surveys to discover prospective Dealers and End-Users preferences.Compile and analyse statistical data using modern and traditional methods to collect it.Interpret data, formulate reports, and make recommendations.Remain fully informed on market trends, other parties research and implement best practices.Tracking and forecasting market trends.Monitor and predict sales and marketing trends.Measure how well marketing strategies and programmes are working.Develop and evaluate ways to collect data including opinion polls, questionnaires, and surveys.Convert findings and complex data into tables, written reports and graphs that can be understood. Requirements and skills:Matric/Grade 12Bachelor’s degree in marketing research, Statistics, Math, or related field required.Some related experience preferred.Ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task.Driver’s licenseAdvanced analytical skills with experience collecting, organising, analysing, and disseminating abundant information with accuracy.Advanced Microsoft Excel.Skills and Knowledge:Entrepreneurial mindset, with an innovative approach to business planningCreativityThe ability to present findings in a polished way.Data visualisation and interpretation skillsEffective communication skillsCleansing and preparing dataAnalysing and exploring dataExpertise in statisticsAnalysing and visualizing dataReports and dashboardsCommunication and writingSolution-orientedProven Market Research Analysis experienceAbility to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task.
