Job Description
DescriptionHire Resolve’s Client is currently seeking a Management Accountant to join their reputable company in the Food Production Industry in Cape Town. As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to senior management for decision making. You will also assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis specific to the food production industry.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze financial data and prepare reports for management reviewAnalyse and understand variances, including raw material, packaging, production, labour, transport, margin, overheads and other variancesUnderstand and improve operational and labour efficiencies in the factoriesEstablish workable and sustainable methods of measuring and tracking productivity; and identifying and implementing improvementsReport on variances and their causes, focusing on production and spending variancesDo analysis on profitability with cross function teams to improve margin and reduce costsWork with the site team to develop, implement and drive cost saving initiativesTrack and report KPI’s and other Profit Improvement Projects to the teamEnsure timely and effective supply of accurate and clear financial reporting (weekly, monthly) as requiredPlan, organize, guide and direct outputs of reports to achieve the objectives of the businessLead and co-ordinate inventory control, physical counts, investigate variances and resolve issuesIdentify improvements in the scanning system, investigate misalignment and ensure compliance with proceduresStock management input, including verifying stock count accuracy, BOMs, costings, variances, obsolescence and other stock related tasksEnsuring the accuracy and alignment of the BOMs to actual processesAuthorization of bank and FX paymentsProcessing and authorization of journalsMonthly VAT calculationJunior cost accountant to reports to this roleRequirementsCIMA qualified with relevant Bachelor’s degree, ideally with a Cost Management specialism; or BTech Cost & Management or similar qualifications.Minimum 3-5 years progressive financial experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment, including a “Management Accountant” roleInterrogated data to conduct analysis of process constraints, target costing projects, margin analysis, and tracing costs back to underlying activitiesMaintaining financial transaction records, posting transactions (including cash book, stock, sales and VAT)Proven capacity to convert requirements to an achievable output and effective communicator of progress to all business stakeholdersDeadline driven within a fast-moving environmentMinimum advanced level user of Microsoft OfficeSyspro working knowledge a major advantageBenefitsSalary Negotiable Contact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.Salary: negotiable.Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.Apply for this role today, contact Candice Aucamp at Hire Resolve or on LinkedIn You can also visit the Hire Resolve website: hireresolve.us or email us your CV: [email protected]We will contact you telephonically in 3 days should you be suitable for this vacancy.
