Job PurposeThe purpose of Logistics Controller is to oversee day-to-day workflow. Coordinate, control and monitor collections and delivery dispatch in the logistics dispatch areas. Job Objectives Frontline collectionsDispatching orders to 3PL.Execute urgent delivery requests.Build relationships with 3PL.Validate orders dispatched to 3PL verses orders received.Order prep for Barron deliveries.Invoice generation for international orders.Delivery DispatchDispatching orders to 3PL.Execute urgent delivery requests.Build relationships with 3PL.Validate orders dispatched to 3PL verses orders received.Order prep for Barron deliveries.Invoice generation for international orders.Cancellation and stock controlIsolate and escalate cancelled orders.Handover cancelled orders to the returns team.Customer serviceBuild relationships with clients.Manage customer service.Project planningAssist in assigned forward logistics projects.Check all required documents.Dispatch final products to clients’ requirements.People managementAssist logistics coordinator with scheduling the forward logistics team.Control timekeeping of the forward logistics team.Route planning Route planningPreparation of next-day shipments according to routes.Handover shipments to the Barron driver.Health and safetyResponsible for ensuring that health and safety policies are adhered to.HousekeepingOrganise and file department documents.Accountable for practising basic housekeeping principles to ensure that workstations are tidy.Qualifications and Experience:NQF 4 Matric/ equivalent – EssentialNQF 5 Supply Chain Management – DesirableSkills, Abilities and Job-related KnowledgeEnglish ComprehensionMS D365 – warehouse moduleVerification SkillsCommunication SkillsProduct KnowledgeLeadershipNumeracyComputer LiteracyReports toForward Logistics Senior Supervisor
