VACANCY NOTIFICATION Position: Laboratory OfficerLocation: Tshipi é Ntle Manganese Mining, Kathu, Northern Cape VACANY STATUSPUBLISHED DATE18 April 2024CLOSING DATE26 April 2024POSITION DESCRIPTIONLab OfficerPATTERSON GRADINGC LowerREPORTING TO Lab ManagerDIRECT REPORTSSample Preparer and Laboratory AssistantPURPOSE OF THE JOB· Supports the safe and effective execution of the testing, evaluating, and reporting of product quality in accordance with standard operating procedures and relevant regulations.· Oversees and monitors the preparation and analysis of ore samples and manages the laboratory information management systemKEY PERFORMANCE AREAS · Supports the Lab manager in the day to day safe and effective execution of the laboratory activities and responsibilitiesMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED · Diploma in Analytical Chemistry or equivalent (NQF 6). MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED · 5 years’ experience within a Laboratory Supervisor/ Officer role.· Experience working with ICP-MS and XRF techniques is essential.· Background in manganese analysis is preferential.· Experience in managing ISO 17025 requirements.
