Job Description

ROLE PURPOSETests new technology and maintains the existing technology used by a company. Perform real-time log analysis to identify gaps or errors by conducting manual and automated tests to simulate different scenarios. Monitor and maintain the health and wellness of all devices on the client’s networksSCOPE OF WORK: DELIVERABLES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIESTest new technologyProduce SOP, user guides and other technical documentationInvestigate issues that impact user estate until resolutionExtract and analyze data from various sources and base recommendation on these analysisProduce reference data for use by operational teams and managementIdentify and patch vulnerabilities: End user estate and service under managementInvestigation and propose solutions related to any configuration related anomalies.Taking corrective actions on a case by case, provide investigation and escalation to higher levelTrack, analyse, and fix end user computer network security problemsCollaborate with computer system administrators and network architectsRespond to Active Threats with urgency until resolveEnsure end user security tools are running properly on company networks and devicesResearch emerging threats and the safeguards that can provide protectionCompleting/contribution to reportingCompleting/contributing to service or process documentationCommunicate and where approved, ensure implementation of improvements/automation on processes on a continuous basis.Daily report on overall system statuses (inter alia asset and security systems)ROLE REQUIREMENTMust have vehicle and valid driver’s licenseAttention to detailAbility to think and interact logically.A natural curiosity.The ability to work in a team and to be proactive around self-learning.The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.Assist with additional tasks given to the team.Interpersonal skills.Good judgment skills.Good communication skills.Behavioral traits such as attitude, motivation, and time management.Be prepared to work irregular hours if required and/or shiftsQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEIT Automation with system dashboard boards and monitoring.Experience/exposure with Server ManagementExperience/exposure with Vulnerability ManagementExperience with EIT software applications (specifically Excel, Power BI or any other data ingestion and analysis software)Experience and knowledge of ITSM (Remedy) tools will be advantageousExposure to BO reporting and or report writing skillsExperience with Virtual Machines, building, configuring and management.Experience with Powershell scripting, deployment, and testing.Experience with Apple MacBooks and Air watch.Experience in using structured methodologies for the analysis, design, implementation, and evaluation purposes.Experience working with SCCM and WSUSExperience with Group Policy ManagementExperience with Active Directory ManagementITIL v4 Foundation Certification will be advantageousMatric/Grade12
