Job Description
Hire Resolve’s client is looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their construction team in Cape Town. Responsibilities:Conduct quantity surveying tasks both on-site and in-office.Perform take-offs, subcontractor claims, and on-site measurements accurately.Assist in cost estimation and budgeting for construction projects.Collaborate with project teams to ensure project cost control and adherence to budget.Prepare and manage project documentation, including contracts, invoices, and progress reports.Utilize Excel and Outlook for project-related communications and data management.Employ WinQS software for quantity surveying tasks (experience with WinQS is a bonus).Contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment on-site.Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders as required.Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.Requirements:Tertiary education in quantity surveying, preferably with a diploma or degree.At least one year of relevant experience in quantity surveying or related field.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.Familiarity with WinQS software is advantageous.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing take-offs and measurements.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Willingness to work on-site for approximately 80% of the time.Contact Hire Resolve for you next career-changing move.Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.Apply for this role today, contact Tameaka Futcher, Elma Pelser, Wernardt Snyman or Chandre Cordier at Hire Resolve or on LinkedInYou can also visit the Hire Resolve website: hireresolve.us or email us your CV: [email protected]We will contact you telephonically in 3 days should you be suitable for this vacancy.
