Job Description
PURPOSE STATEMENT To generate and grow sales whilst maintaining required GP%, good agent relationships and excellent customer service by offering excellent itineraries to meet and exceed agent & guests expectations. To secure, cost and present product to the customer accurately, efficiently, timeously and with zero errors. To offer fist line assistance to intermediate and junior consultants in the team.RESPONSIBILITIES ReservationsProcess all booking enquiries , quoting and sending out invoices (Groups and FITs)Process deposits received and following up on outstanding deposits timeously to ensure all provisional bookings are confirmed within specified time frames.Yield Management – ensure all provisional bookings are confirmed or released within specified time frame and manage yield in terms of booking types.Preparation of all arrival information for all properties and ensure our operations department has all relevant information well in advance.Maintain good relationships with travel agents and tour operators.Perform other duties as required by supervisor REQUIREMENTS:Namibian citizen/Namibian permanent residence3- 5 years tourism & reservations experience / Diploma in Travel and Tourism will be an advantagePassion and understanding of the tourism industryGood knowledge of Namibian tourist attractionsGood computer literacy specifically in MS Word, Excel & Outlook / Tourplan will be an advantageExcellent communication skills in written and spoken EnglishFrench/German language will be an added advantageWillingness & commitment to partake in ongoing training and developmentMust think logically with attention to detailAbility to work under pressure and in a dynamic environmentGood stress management skillsResults orientated team playerValid driver’s license will be an added advantage
