Job Description
Main purpose of the role:Responsible for managing the overall workflow / functionality of the equipment room and all production equipment.RequirementsStorage/ Inventory management qualification or relevant.At least 1-year relevant experience in storage or inventory management.Knowledge of the latest gear and technology with strong technical proficiency.Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Detail-oriented approach with a focus on quality and excellence.Key responsibilities:Responsible for managing our extensive inventory of cameras, lighting equipment, sound gear, and more.Ensure that every piece of equipment is accounted for and assigned equipment is ready to go when needed.Coordinating equipment pickups and returns to maintaining inventory records and overseeing repairs to ensure that production runs smoothly.Inspect and perform maintenance on assigned equipment.Maintains up to date records of warranties, licenses, inspections, service agreements, and contracts for various pieces of equipment.Provide recommendations for purchases of new equipment.Performs other related duties as assigned by Head of Production.Given the employment equity policy of Media24, preference will be given to suitable candidates from the designated groups.
