PERMANENTFLEET PAYROLL ADMINISTRATORSEA HARVEST GROUP CAPE TOWN (SOUTH ARM)   JOB TITLE:                     FLEET PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR REPORTING TO:             GROUP PAYROLL MANAGEROverview:We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fleet Payroll Administrator to join our team in the fishing sector. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll administration within the maritime industry, particularly in managing payroll for crew members on fishing vessels. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and timely payment to crew members while adhering to industry regulations and company policies. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage payroll processing for crew members working on fishing vessels, including data entry, verification, and calculation of wages and bonuses.Ensure accurate recording of crew hours, overtime, and additional compensation based on contract terms and industry standards.Coordinate with operations managers to gather payroll-related data and resolve any discrepancies.Serve as the primary point of contact for crew members regarding payroll inquiries, issues, and disputes.REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: Grade 12 with 6+ years experience within the payroll fieldMinimum of 2 years experience working on Sage 300 people with Job costing modules.Solid knowledge of payroll principles, processes and proceduresSolid understanding of relevant legislation (Tax, BCEA, Employee Benefits)Excel intermediate user.Excellent administration skills and good communication skillsGood time management and organisational skillsDetail-oriented, Proactive, Pressure resilient, Independent but needs to be a Team playerStrong attention to detailExperience with time and attendance and multiple pay frequenciesPrevious experience in payroll administration within the maritime industry, preferably in the fishing sector.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Interested parties who meet the above requirements, and posses the attributes stated, may submit a comprehensive CV, along with certified copies of their ID’s and qualifications.CLOSING DATE: Wednesday, 08th May 2024
