DescriptionRPO Recruitment is currently working with a reputable metal manufacturing company in Johannesburg, seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join their team. As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the engineering activities and ensuring smooth operation of the manufacturing processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, optimize production, and deliver high-quality metal products.Responsibilities:Manage a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and supportOversee the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipmentCollaborate with production managers to optimize manufacturing processes and workflowsImplement safety and quality standards in the manufacturing processesDevelop and execute engineering strategies and projects to improve efficiency and productivityManage budgets, resources, and timelines for engineering projectsAnalyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvementStay updated with industry trends and advancementsRequirementsBSc/B.Eng./B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent5 – 10 years’ experience in the maintenance or production environmentCompetency in computer-aided engineering design and drawingHands – on working experience in a metal maintenance or manufacturing environmentProven project management experienceProven leadership experienceA Government Certificate of Competence would be advantageousExcellent communication skillsAbility to work independentlyBenefitsSalary: R1 million – R850k per annum RPO is a Specialist Recruitment Agency that provides candidates and clients with unique recruitment solutions tailored to their needs.
