The Employment Equity (EE) Officer is responsible to support the EE Manager in developing, implementing, and overseeing initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization. This includes, but is not limited to, the collaboration with HR and Management across various departments to create strategies that foster a culture of belonging and respect for all employees, and incorporates the administration, reporting and compliance from an Employment Equity perspective. The incumbent will be responsible for implementing and monitoring EE programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with legislation.

You Bring:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion roles, preferably in a corporate environment.
Strong understanding of EE legislation, principles, theories, and best practices.
Knowledge of relevant employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
A Bonus To Have:
HR or related qualification

What You’ll Do For The Brand:
Support the EE Manager in the development and implementation of EE strategies, policies, programs and projects to enhance diversity and foster an inclusive workplace environment.
Collaborate with the HR team to ensure recruitment, hiring, retention and succession practices are equitable and support diversity goals.
Provide guidance and support to Management and Team Members on EE matters, including training programs, workshops, and resources.
Establish partnerships with external organisations and community groups to support EE initiatives and promote diversity awareness.
Manage relationships with Department of Labour, keeping abreast of new developments, advising, and partnering with business to implement new requirements.
Stay current on EE trends, best practices, and legal requirements to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote the organisation’s commitment to achieving diversity within the workplace.
Conduct assessments and surveys to measure the organisation’s EE compliance efforts and identify areas for improvement.
Monitor and analyse data related to employee demographics, turnover rates, and promotion rates to assess the effectiveness of EE initiatives.
Provide support in terms of the administration and documentary compliance in line with EE requirements.
Conduct audits to ensure compliance across all entities within the Group in accordance with EE legislation.
Provide an administrative support in terms of meetings, minutes, and reporting.
