Job Description
Main purpose of the job:The incumbent will be responsible to manage dietetic food services within the hospital kitchen in conjunction with the Manager, as well as manage all Health and Safety Audits. Desirable education and experience:Tertiary qualification in DieteticsAt least 2 years relevant experiencePrevious Dietetics experience within a hospital environment is advantageousExperience in hygiene controlExperience in menu analysisExperience in therapeutic dietsComputer literate (MS Office)Knowledge, skills and competencies:Good knowledge of catering practices within a hospital environmentExcellent communication skills at all levelsGood presentation skillsProblem solvingMulti-lingual, advantageousAbility to conduct on the job training with staffProfessionalismReliable, dependableCreative FlairExcellent customer services skillsKey areas of responsibilities:Monitor and manage hygiene control, menu analysis and therapeutic dietsMonitor, uphold and manage hygiene standards at all timesAdvise Catering Team on nutritional principlesAdvise team with regards menu planningAdvise team with regards dietary plans and diet modificationsAdvise team with regards food selection, food preparation and food qualityConsult with Clinical Dieticians and Medical team to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of patientsEnsure dietary norms are metEmpact Group is committed to Employment Equity in line with legislation and will give first preference to candidates as per Equity requirements.By applying for a role within Empact Group (Proprietary) Limited, all Personal Information which you provide to the Company will be held and/ or stored securely for the purpose of recruitment.
