Job Description

Main purpose / objective of the position: To control and guide the day-to-day operational activities of an accounts payable function.Maintains and reconciles accounts payable ledger to validate charges and ensure accurate and timely payments.Accounts Payable Controller prepares and evaluates applicable accounting reports to identify trends, insufficiencies and opportunities for cost-savings and relays the conclusion to management.They implement standard operating procedures to maintain accurate financial records and compliance with accounting policies.Oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable department, including supervising staff, managing workflows, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of paymentsEnsure that financial deadlines are met and that customer service is provided to all internal stakeholdersMonitor accounts and ensure that any discrepancies are identified and resolvedAssist with the development and implementation of accounting policies and proceduresParticipate in the preparation of the annual auditExperience / Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field5+ years of accounts payable experience preferredProven experience supervising staff and managing processesKnowledge of accounting principles and proceduresStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsExcellent analytical and communication skillsProficient with accounting software and Microsoft OfficeAble to work independently and meet tight deadlinesSkills required: Computer literacy.SAP DMS. MDAMS Office – Excel & Word. Outlook.Administration Skills.Time ManagementLeadershipKnowledge required: Policies and procedures (Reference to specific processes in AP).
