Our client is currently seeking a dynamic and skilled Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE) specializing in Roads to join their team in the Southern Cape area. The successful candidate will work closely with the Resident Engineer to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of road construction projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.Responsibilities:Assist the Resident Engineer in managing all aspects of road construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents to verify accuracy and adherence to project requirements.Prepare progress reports, work schedules, and cost estimates for presentation to project stakeholders.Provide technical support and guidance to project team members as needed.Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards throughout the project lifecycle.Assist in resolving technical issues and addressing any changes or modifications to project plans.Maintain accurate project records, including drawings, reports, and correspondence.Support the Resident Engineer in managing client expectations and fostering positive relationships.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or related field.Professional registration as a Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng is required.Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in road construction projects.Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and industry best practices.Proficiency in project management software and tools.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.Contact Hire Resolve for you next career-changing move.Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.Apply for this role today, contact Tameaka Futcher, Elma Pelser, Henker Harmse, Wernardt Snyman, Chandre Cordier or Alyssa Marson at Hire Resolve or on LinkedInYou can also visit the Hire Resolve website: hireresolve.us or email us your CV: [email protected]We will contact you telephonically in 3 days should you be suitable for this vacancy.
