About the role:

Being a Shop Assistant Cashier in the Wholesale & Retail Trade industry and the FMCG, Retail, Wholesale & Supply Chain sector means being at the forefront of providing exceptional customer service and ensuring seamless point of sale transaction, adhering to our high standards of accuracy.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promotion of Clicks’ clubcard and seamless enrollment of new members.
  • Maintain a high level of service excellence resulting in a positive customer experience.
  • Meticulously handle cash and ensure accuracy in scanning merchandise and collecting payments.
  • Execute and maintain merchandising and housekeeping duties and proactively inform customers about current promotions.

Desired Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient in executing all operational activities at the point of sale.
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing role within retail or a FMCG store operations environment.
  • Good understanding of merchandising, promotions principles and stock management procedures.
  • Outstanding communication skills with strong customer orientation.

Qualification Requirements:

An ideal candidate should possess at least Grade 12 certificate. Those with 50% in Maths and English at the Grade 12 level will have an added advantage.
