Trans-Caledon Tunnel Authority (TCTA)

The Trans-Caledon Tunnel Authority (TCTA) is responsible for planning, financing, and implementing sustainable water resource infrastructure in South Africa. Initially established to fulfill the country's treaty obligations for the Lesotho Highlands Water Project, the TCTA follows government policies to seek off-balance-sheet funding options for infrastructure projects. By recovering costs through end-user tariffs, the TCTA ensures that infrastructure expenses are borne by the beneficiaries and reduces the government's borrowing requirements. Contact Information
