The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) is the state's trusted agency dedicated to forensic investigation and litigation. With a mission to uphold integrity, the SIU investigates serious malpractices or maladministration in the administration of the state and protects the interests of the public through civil proceedings. Established in 1996, the SIU plays a vital role in combatting corruption and ensuring the Constitution is upheld, working in coordination with the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development.
