The South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA) is the national administrative body responsible for safeguarding South Africa's cultural heritage. Established under the National Heritage Resources Act, SAHRA works in collaboration with local and provincial authorities to manage and protect heritage resources. Through education, training, and public involvement, SAHRA promotes the identification and conservation of valuable heritage resources, including the documentation of oral history and living heritage.
