Media Development and Diversity Agency (MDDA)

The Media Development and Diversity Agency (MDDA) plays a vital role in creating an inclusive and diverse media landscape in South Africa. Its objectives include promoting media development and diversity by supporting community and small commercial media projects, encouraging ownership and access to media by historically disadvantaged communities, and facilitating human resources development and training within the media industry. Operating under the oversight of The Presidency, the MDDA collaborates with other statutory bodies to raise public awareness and advocate for media development and diversity.
